Kylie Jenner is a hater’s honeypot once again as fans, followers and critics have all jumped into the comments of one of her latest Instagram posts. The controversy everyone is discussing is whether or not the new selfie has been Photoshopped.
The post, which looks like an unmarked ad for Kylie’s partners at Puma, features her in a pair of briefs showing off an especially thin waistline while her hips are popping. But Instagram users don’t think the unbelievable waistline is real and they think they’ve found the evidence to prove it.
Behind her in the shot, there’s either a curtain or a door fame. Whatever it is, the object’s vertical lines are funky, and users think the object has been warped by the same effects that shrunk Kylie’s waist. Others say it’s just a curtain that could be caught in a breeze or sitting crooked. Debate about the truth has raged in the comments.
Even if the object is a door fame, an expert told the Daily Beast it’s not exactly proof of alterations. Chris Floyd told the publication that the distortion could’ve been a trick of the mirror Kylie used for her selfie. Even if that’s not the case, the warped doorframe isn’t proof of anything.
“I could go into the semantics of the word ‘Photoshopped, but the point is, the doorframe is an ocean away from her body, so, if her body is what is supposed to have been altered, there is no reason why the change would have impacted the doorframe,” Chris explained.
Do you believe Chris? Or is this another case of Kylie going beyond Instagram’s normal “Edit” options for a selfie?
