Nokia 7 Plus Android One

This is the first phone from HMD Global to sport a glass-sandwich design which will remind you of Xiaomi’s Mi 6. The curved glass is reflective and the silver rings around the camera and the buttons add to the beauty. The fingerprint sensor is nicely positioned at the back and is one of the most accurate in the market for now.

It features a 6-inch Full-HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio screen. It also sports 3 highly sensitive imaging sensors besides optics, a true flagship imaging experience. Each device is made out of a single block of 6000 series Aluminum which is then covered with 6-layers of paint system to deliver the seamless ceramic look and feel and the whole body is completely anodized.

It also features an outstanding flagship grade imaging experience with great ZEISS optics. The main camera is at 12-MP (f/1.75) with another 12-MP (f/2.6) telephoto lens, with world-class ZEISS optics it also has 2x optical zoom and dual-tone dual LED flash. The front camera is at 16-MP (f/2.0) with Carl ZEISS optics too, this also features adaptive sensor technology. Nokia has combined 4 pixels into one super pixel, as a result it delivers beautiful selfies even in the low-light conditions. The camera app also has the pro-mode which gives you full control over the key settings such as exposure, shutter speed and ISO.

With so much of offering from the Nokia there’s one place you might have to compromise at, the processor. Unlike many flagships which sports Snapdragon’s 800 series processors, Nokia has put in Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset in the Nokia 7 Plus. Now this is an improvement from the last year’s Nokia 7 but still mid-to-high range chipset. You may not notice any real difference in day-to-day performance, the Snapdragon 660 chip paired with 4GB or 6GB of RAM is very responsive as the 800 series.

Thanks to the great Android One software which brings it clean Google centric experience and a promise of 2 years of platform updates. Nokia is shipping this phone with the latest Android 8.1.0 Oreo out-of-the-box with Android One program. The Snapdragon 660 is known for its power efficiency which is further complemented by the hefty battery by Nokia at 3800 mAH with fast charging capability.

Nokia 7 Plus will be choice for the people who wants Nexus but don’t want to put a lot of money into Pixel phones of today. Here you will get best of both the world with clean software experience and speed in abundance. Wait for the full review until it reaches our hand in coming months.
