First of all, Check whether you are fulfilling all the requirements to run Metro Exodus on PC. This is very basic and most important pre-check for the game to run smoothly.

Unable to Install Error on Metro Exodus:

The first and foremost error occur while installation that the game doesn’t work. You can fix that through the following steps: –

  1. First of all, check the antivirus of your system. Most of the time what happens is that the antivirus software is blocking the game to be installed. If your antivirus software is on, then you have to turn it off for some time.
  2. If the step 1 does not work, then there must be issue in the DVD of the game. Sometime a scratch might damage your game CD. You have to replace it if so.
  3. If you are installing the game using an ISO image, then check whether the image is clean, or it is corrupted?

Loading Issue or the Game keeps on Crashing: 

The issue can be fixed if you update the drivers. Updating the drivers can be done by going to the official sites.

If the above sites are not helpful, then go to DirectX that will surely help.

Turning of UAC: 

There is this security option in windows called UAC where it blocks the new application from launching. So maybe that is the issue.

Lagging issues, Freezing issues and Low FPS: 

Sometimes while playing the game there is lagging issue. Lagging happens and its quite annoying.

  1. Start Nvidia Control Panel and then go to Manage 3D settings.
  2. Click on program setting and then go to power management.
  3. Choose maximum performance option that will reduce lagging.

Metro Exodus Stuttering:

Stuttering are issues related to both audio and video. The problem occurs due to audio problem which is quite similar to lagging and can be resolved by updating the drivers.

Metro Exodus Resolution issue: 

Bad resolution has always been a pain for the gamers. This issue is directly related to video drivers. So, updating drivers will help.

  1. If the resolution is high, then there are chances of low fps. Make sure that you have minimum system requirements.
  2. Free maximum resources while playing the game. Reduce the amount of app installed in your system.
  3. You can also kill the process that are taking maximum resources.

These all steps will give as better performance and maximum CPU.

Mouse Lagging: 

Mouse lagging is also one of the frequent issues which occur when you try to move and see the characters. In Video control panel, set max frame = 2, and then click ok. This will fix the issue.

Disk Read Error: 

And if you are getting disk read error the update the CD driver and then clean the CD and re-insert that will fix the issue.

Metro Exodus Crash to desktop during Game play:

The one of the reasons why your game might be crashing is due to some unwanted process occupying the RAM and CPU. This is seen quite often and to remove it kill the unwanted process from the task bar that is occupying the highest resources.

And as previously told, turn off your anti-virus software, that’s might also be the reason.

If the issue still persists then from the Graphic Card Control panel, assign a single GPU to the game. Sometimes these are selected as two that might also be the reason.

And those you have Nvidia graphic card, launch the control panel and choose the option thread optimization which will optimize your resources.

Black screen issue:

Black screen occurs if the drivers are not updated. You can perform below steps to avoid this error:

  • Firstly, update the video drivers and then install the motherboard drivers’ updates.
  • Then go to games setting and turn off Vsync, anti-aliasing and filtering. Try lowering these setting and run the game again.
  • Lastly, go to task manager and kill all the processes consuming huge CPU percentage.
  • Most of the steps would quite helpful in fixing the issue and if nothing works then delete the game and re-install. That will definitely work.

Metro Exodus Unable to Save Game on Stream:

So, while streaming the game, this issue occur which can be fix by following solutions: –

  1. Exit the game and reboot the PC.
  2. Validate the files and then start streaming the game again.
  3. Go to library section and choose the files of metro exodus.
  4. Right click the file and then go to local file tab. Click on verify integrity of game cache.

Metro Exodus No Audio:

Sometimes the game has no issue, but the audio od the system does not work well. You can fix that by taking the below steps: –

  1. Start DXDiag. On that click on the sound and just lower the sound acceleration and it is fixed.
  2. Updating audio drivers will also be helpful.
  3. You can find then on the official site. Just download them and install and test back. That should surely work.
  4. Another solution is – Go to control panel then click hardware and sound. Go to communication tab. Click “DO Nothing”.
  5. Restart and check again.

Metro Exodus Installation Error and Solution: 

Error: “Cannot Install Metro Exodus”

You can avoid this error by checking the minimum requirements. Check whether you are having enough resources on your PC. Update your GPU Drivers and the next step would be to update DirectX version. Reboot the system and start it from scratch.

Error: “The application failed to initialize properly”

If you ae dealing with this error, then install the updated Visual Runtime libraries .This file quite big to download. You can download from the link given in our page.

Error: – “Metro Exodus PC install fails, cannot install”

  • This error because of the older version of Microsoft C++. You can fix it by uninstalling the old version of Microsoft C++.
  • Go to control panel and then to Uninstall program.
  • Uninstall Microsoft C++ and then download it and install it.
  • Reboot your PC and then test the game.
