Mr. Torgue Is Coming Back!
Good news to all the Mr. Torgue fans out there, as he is returning to the game. The character has gained much popularity in Borderlands 2, where he is the founder and CEO of the Torgue Company, the weapon manufacturers.
His dialogues, his powerful attitude, passion for loots and explosions have a deep place in hearts of many fans.
Chris Rager, the voice actor of Mr. Rorgue has himself hinted to this through a tweet. He tweeted, “I would like to announce that #Borderlands3 is a video game and voice acting is a thing… Thank you!”. He also posted a gif of Torgue with a caption “Explosions”?.
So, we can safely say that we will be seeing Mr. Torgue in Borderland 3.
However, there is still no confirmation from the developers side, so its better to take it with a healthy pinch of salt.
Get Ready To Explore New Worlds
As per some rumours and leaks, Borderlands will now feature new worlds for the players. Since, earlier instalments are stuck only to Planet Pandora; it is quite exciting to see new planets in the upcoming game. The game is said to include not one or two but a total of five planets. Some these are Promethea, Eden-6, and Athenas while the rest are unknown at this moment.
Gearbox Is Also Planning To Offer Cross-Platform Play
The Cross-Platform play has become the need with the increase of multiplayer games. Although it is not include in the Borderlands 3 but the developers hinted that the players may get this support later in the coming days.
Gearbox CEO, Randy Pitchford tweeted, “For what its worth, 2K’s decisions aside, myself and the team at Gearbox have a very keen interest in cross-platform play. We believe multi-platform support is a pre-requisite and Epic’s leadership with cross platform support is helpful to our interests there.” on April 1, 2019.
So, brace yourself as there are strong chances that there will be cross platform play in the coming days and then the platforms will not hinder you gaming experience.
No New Vault Hunters
Yes, you’ve read it right. There will be no new Vault Hunters in the Borderlands 3.
“We are focused on the main game for now, but my feelings are that it might be better for us to put our time into expanding what the existing vault hunters can do and how interesting their future growth is instead of adding new ones to start over with,” tweeted RandyPitchford.
This clearly shows that the developers are focusing on the betterment of the existing components of game rather than introducing the new ones i.e. “Quality over Quantity”!!
Adios To Scooter – The beloved Mechanic Scooter
A post on Reddit confirmed that Scooter will not return in Borderlands. He died in Episode 4 of Tales from the Borderlands, and the mural hints that he is gone forever. Some fans also discovered that Ellie has a new tattoo in which a skull is wearing Scooter’s hat with words “catch a ride to heaven”, which is also a very strong hint.
Troy and Tyreen Calypso’s Father
A Reddit user brilliantKatabasis, has discovered that Typhon Deleon, the first Vault Hunter is possibly the father of twins Troy andTyreen. He also noted that the old maps used by the twins may have belonged to first Vault Hunter.
Moreover, other fan theory suggests that twins might not be the true villains of Borderlands 3.
“Trev is gunna get you”!!
Borderlands 3 is said to include a weapon named after Trevor Eastman, who was a die-hard fan of the Borderlands series and was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal, stomach, and liver cancer and doctors had given him just a year to live. So, Gearbox allowed him to play borderlands 3 in early edition and feature a weapon named after him as ahonourable gesture.
Eastman shared some screenshots of the weapon, the compression trevonator, which is a powerful weapon manufactured by Maliwan. It includes +28% weapon charge speed and a whooping +75 splash damage radius. Players will have to be higher than or at level 28 to get this destructive weapon. The gun has the ability to switch between Cryo and Fire damage types. The flavor text on itreads: “Trev is gunna get you!”.

Elon Musk’s “Not a flamethrower”
According to a tweet of Randy Pitchford he said he will include Elon Musk’s “not a flamethrower” flamethrower in Borderlands 3 and asked Elon Musk if he want to write the falvor text for the flamethrower himself. He tweeted “Elon – I’m going to add this to our next Borderlands game. Super serious, Let me know if you want to write the flavor text. You may have already done so – we’ll just lift it from one of your tweets.”
Confirming the deal, Musk replied “Sure” to Pitchford’s tweet.
