The 25-year-old hitmaker, Halsey, is feeling the urge to make a difference in the world. On Wednesday, she posted a photo of boxes full of masks that she is donating to Californian hospitals. She is giving away 100,000 protecting face masks to the hospital staff and patients to prevent the spread of the virus.
Halse started off her caption with: “Every single day I am in awe of the medical workers on the frontlines. Their determination, selflessness and empathy is the single greatest example of our capacity to love and survive as humans.”
“I am beyond privileged to be self-isolating in my home, without the fear and obligation of essential work employment. Without a sick family member to care for. A child to feed. A financial crisis to navigate. So I tried to find a real way to make a difference,” she continued.
At the end of her post, she urged her fans and followers to self-isolate if they are able to. But she had a message for those who have to go to work and are at high risk, saying: “If you are on the frontlines, my heart is with you.”
