Top 5 Clouds to Use for Business Connectivity

Long gone are the times when people had to store data on physical drives, and although it still happens every once in a while, the new trend is using a cloud service. Most businesses are currently focusing on finding the best cloud provider because it’s just so important to have a reliable service that allows you to both store and share everything with your co-workers.

Most businesses nowadays are international, meaning that there’s a high chance a lot of the employees are from a different part of the world, but thanks to technology and the internet, this is not an issue at all.

However, collaborating with someone that works from home and is not present at your office, or from a completely different country, would be next to impossible without the sophisticated cloud services we have today. Currently, one of the first and main things that an owner of a business can do after starting one, is finding a reliable online connectivity and storage service to use.

This might seem like an easy task at first, but it’s not, because there are so many choices available out there, and it’s so easy to pick the one that’s not suitable for your situation. Thankfully, in today’s article we are going to give you our advice on what the five best clouds are when it comes to business connectivity, so let’s not make this introduction any longer and jump straight into the content.

1. Microsoft’s Cloud Platform

When it comes to reputable and reliable companies, is there a better and more well-known choice than Microsoft? I mean, you’re probably reading this from a computer that’s using Windows, so that’s more than enough to say that you’re already using their products. Anyways, Microsoft is a company that got a bit late into the entire “cloud war” thing, but their ability to come out with sophisticated and fully-polished projects made them easily get to the top.

There were a lot of other services that existed long before theirs, but that doesn’t change the fact that Microsoft’s one is very reliable and useful. Check out their Azure project if you’re interested.

2. Google Drive – Google Cloud

Now a lot of people might disagree with us for this one, but the truth is that Google came up with a great cloud-service solution a lot earlier than other companies. Drive is a great platform where you can share all sorts of files, and you get 15GB for free by just creating an account. Imagine the size of their servers if everyone can get at least 15GB of free space, and creating an account is cost-free.

Anyway, Drive is great for both casual and professional use. If you’re committed enough, you can use it as a fully-functional cloud service for both collaborating with your co-workers or just uploading files in a secure environment. You can either download their software or access it through Google Chrome.

That’s not all, however, because Google developed a little something called Google Cloud, which is another sophisticated solution for both smaller and larger enterprises. Nothing less than the expected from this titanic company.

3. Salesforce

When it comes to pioneering and being first at things, nothing beats the American company that goes by the name of Salesforce. For a long time now their products are used worldwide, and they were the first ones that came up with the SaaS model. For those of you that might be unfamiliar with the term, SaaS means Software as a Service.

Their project happens to be one of the most useful services that the corporate world has seen these days, and it’s one of the main reasons why this company became so popular and still is today. It has the title of “The fastest-growing company in the world, specifically in the software-developing field”. What makes them even more trustworthy now is the recent announcement that they’re partnering with Google. Pretty great news if you ask us.

4. IBM Cloud

IBM is a very reputable and well-known company in the technology sphere, and not so long ago they came up with a great cloud solution for both smaller and larger enterprises. IBM is not to be underestimated because currently, it is competing with one of the largest names in the business, such as Oracle, Salesforce, and even Google.

We haven’t used their services, but according to what a lot of people have to say, it’s just as good as any other, with some even larger advantages. IBM has a lot of goals for the future, one of them is adapting the entire IoT (Internet of Things) idea, to deliver an improved and unique experience for all of their customers and users. We’ll see in the next couple of years how this is going to turn out for them because it’s a long-term plan. The Internet of Things is a “project” that’s going to be huge in the future, so maybe IBM is headed in the perfect direction.

5. Oracle Corporation

Last but not least, we’re going to talk a bit about the Oracle cloud solution. This is a company that you’ve most likely heard about if you’re just slightly into technology and computers. If you’ve been following them for a longer period, then you also probably know about their famous event called Oracle OpenWorld.

At this event, five years ago, the company announced that it’s going to expand and create multiple cloud applications and services. They focused on their lane and the company managed to achieve huge growth over the course in the past few years. We’re not doubting that they’ll keep on improving as time goes by, and they’re already in the top five companies in the entire world when it comes to cloud solutions.

Although they arrived in this field a bit later, compared to some of the other companies, we’re pretty sure that they have what it takes to continue with their competitive pace.
