Although Iris 504Q is one of the best Flagship smartphone from Lava, they haven’t provided any Android Firmware Update for the same since its release last year, neither there is sign of the same in coming future. As we know the phone is still running on Android 4.2.1 Jellybean operating system and officially we are in the era of Android 4.4.2 Kitkat which is much improved and faster OS so far.So, as there is no Update officially from Lava, the only options left for us is Custom ROMs.
As per request of many of our members, i today bring you an Kitkat based Custom ROM for your Iris 504Q. It has been developed by an XDA developer Manik and should be appreciated for this great work. The ROM is made upon Note 3’s ROM and it truly offers you many features from the note3 itself apart from look and feel of note 3. You can see the screenshot of this ROM below. So, the wait is over. You can taste out Kitkat ROM, or i can say Note 3 ROM, on your Iris 504Q right away. We just checked and everything seems 100% fine. I can comfortably download from Mega. What is the error you getting? Make sure you are using latest Firefox or Chrome.

I just bought this Q+ device yesterday & do not see any option to move Apps to SD card.

Hello Santosh, first of all i haven’t tested this ROM on Q+, hence cannot be sure and will suggest you not to try it on your phone. Basically, never try any ROM unless it is official announced for your your particular mobile model. Secondly, “Apps to SD” doesn’t requires a ROM. You just need to Root your device to get that feature. 🙂 Please post a question regarding rooting on our Forums to get better help by our moderators and experienced members. Regards.

Nope, we have put restrictions on all Download Managers t get files from this website, to prevent leeching. Hence, please use the default browser’s built-in download managers to get this file on your desktop.

For installing any thirdparty custom ROM,you must have CWM Recovery installed on your phone. You can try out CWM Alternative for 504Q http://www.downloads.oceanup.co/smartphones/download-lava-iris-504q-rooting-package/

So far i haven’t found any bug. As far as RAM is concerned, you get the same amount of RAM which we had in the Original ROM.
