Intel launches Compute Stick mini-PC for Rs. 9999 in India

Intel today launched a mini-computer in India, dubbed as Intel Compute mini-PC Stick. There are 2 variants of Intel Compute stick, one runs on Windows 8.1 whereas other one runs on Ubuntu. The Windows 8.1 variant is available to Indian users through Flipkart and it is priced at Rs.9,999. While there are no details about Ubuntu variant’s availability. Couple of weeks ago, Lenovo also launched a ideacentre Stick 300 Smallest PC running Windows.

Intel Compute Stick is a mini-computer which was first revealed at CES earlier this year. It connects to your TV or Monitor via a HDMI port. On configuration part, Windows 8.1 compute stick is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom processor and is coupled with 2GB of DDR3 RAM. It comes with 32GB of internal storage and also has a SD card slot. It comes with Intel HD graphics card.

When it comes to connectivity it has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.0 and it connects to TV or monitors via its HDMI 1.4a port, it features a USB 2.0 port. The Ubuntu variant of Intel Compute Stick has similar specs and the only difference in Ubuntu variant is that, it has 8GB of internal storage and only 1GB of DDR3 RAM.
